Carissa is forced to stand with her arms above her head, wrists bound with rope. A rolled-up bandage is between her teeth and a cloth covers her mouth, preventing her spitting it out. She is also blindfolded, unable to see where she is being held. He legs are tied too, and her leather pants and boots feel as if they are clinging to her. She has no idea how long she has been forced to stand here like this, but her arms and legs ache, and she is horribly thirsty. She hears someone approaching and is relieved when her gag and blindfold are removed. Her captor offers her water and she gratefully drinks from the bottle. She begs him to let her sit on a chair. With unusual compassion, he frees her hands and makes her hop to a chair. He sits her down and ties her up again, using plenty of rope to make sure she isn't going anywhere.
