Jasmine is a researcher and a junior member of the university council. She has requested a private interview with Professor North to try to dissuade him from appointing one of his relatives to the council, a student who is not qualified and who is receiving an unfair advantage. However, the Professor has no intention of changing his mind and refuses to listen to Jasmine’s point of view. In fact, to make sure she does not interfere with the appointment, he decides that she will need to be kept out of circulation for a while. He offers her a drugged beverage and, unsuspecting, Jasmine drinks it. When she wakes up,  she finds herself tied up and gagged. When she cannot free herself, she hops to the professor’s office and tries to call for help using his phone. Unfortunately for her, he discovers what she is doing before she can get through to anyone.  He chloroforms her this time and he leaves to attend to arrangements to deal with her more permanently. In his absence, Jasmine recovers and tries to escape through the front door. Before she can do so, the Professor returns and knocks her out again. Next time she wakes, she is tied to a chair. A cloth is pushed into her mouth to shut her up and an over the mouth gag is applied to finish the job. The Professor departs to finish the process of appointing his relative, leaving Jasmine bound and gagged and unable to get free.
