Madison is returning home from a walk in the woods when she sees a man apparently trying to break into her house. When she confronts him, she suddenly realizes that she has seen his face before, on a TV show called Crime Stoppers. Realizing the danger she is in, Madison turns and starts to run. However, the man producers a gun and fires a tranquilizer dart at her retreating form, hitting her in the butt. Madison staggers and falls, rolling down a hill and coming to a halt at the bottom, unconscious.  

Having been inside her house, Madison finds her wrists and ankles bound with rope, and the man is about to gag her. She demands that he let her go, but her request is ignored. The man disappears into the house in search of valuables, leaving Madison to struggle to free herself. After a while, she manages to loosen the ropes binding her wrists. She unties herself and goes back outside, running into the woods where the plans to hide until she is sure the man has gone, then she will go back home to call the police.

While she is waiting, she is unaware that the man has found her. He creeps up from behind and presses a cloth over her nose and mouth, holding it there until the chemicals take effect and she falls unconscious. When she wakes, she finds herself tied up again, ankles, knees and wrists. The man gags her with a bandana to make sure she cannot call for help, then leaves her to her fate. During her struggles to free herself for a second time, Madison loses her balance and rolls some way down a slope, getting her clothes dirty in the process. Will this nightmare of a day ever end?
